Week Two

With the pre-cleanse behind us, it is now time to open your kits!

Today we are starting the detox process. This is a time to nourish your body as well as get rid of processed food, toxins, added sugars and damaged oils that junk up our digestive system and alter your overall well-being. THIS IS NOT A FAST. While I do believe you should have at least 12 hrs between dinner and breakfast, you will be having 3 meals per day and therefore should not be “starving”. This is a time to provide your body with high quality nutrients only and experience what it feels like to be free of stimulants such as caffeine, sugar, added chemicals and alcohol.

You will be having 2 shakes (with supplements) per day, along with one solid meal (to equal 3 meals per day). Depending on your schedule, or how it works best, you can either have a smoothie for breakfast and lunch and then have your meal for dinner OR have a shake for breakfast, a meal for lunch and then a shake for dinner. I LOVE having the meal mid-day! However, when I am feeding kids etc, I tend to find it easier to eat a clean meal with the family. Make it work for you. Reach out with questions.

There are sample menus below. Please note, if you ordered the Paleocleanse kit, the protein powder tastes like a strawberry vanilla and mixes well with the strawberry almond recipe. If you ordered the Vegecleanse, it has a berry taste and mixes well with blueberry and raspberry type smoothies.

What is in the Kit?

In the kit you will find 28 single serving drink mix packets that you will use for your smoothies. These contain a superior functional food powder designed to support healthy detoxification. You will mix one packet into a smoothie 2x per day. Please add your choice of approved ingredients to the smoothie to bulk it up and improve the taste!! See guidelines below. Every year I have a few people that just use the packet and water… this is NOT enough fuel and does not taste the best!! These packets are protein powder that make it easy to follow and ensure you do not miss any necessary nutrients. The packets contain quality macronutrients to fuel detoxification pathways, a full multivitamin/mineral for detox enzyme support, nutrients needed for phase I and II metabolic pathways as well as high levels of antioxidant support for safe detoxification. In addition, you will find 28 supplement packets to take along with your shakes. Take 2x day with your shake. These are designed to support phase I and II liver detoxification and will assist in toxins being safely eliminated from the body.

What to Expect

If you did the pre-cleanse, you may feel very few symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, skin rashes etc. However, if you skipped right to the kit, you may experience some uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms. Drink lots of fluid and get extra sleep. As the days go by, you will get into your new routine, and most individuals feel more energy, sleep better, less inflammation and less body aches!

How to Make a Simple Smoothie

Choose 1-2 from each category to construct a very simple smoothie.

Liquid Base

• Nut/hemp milk, coconut milk, coconut water, tea, water, broth

Greens

• Kale, spinach, super greens, chard, lettuce, etc.

Healthy Fats

• Nut butter, chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, coconut oil/butter, avocado, tahini

Fruits (Frozen work well)

• Berries, peaches, pineapple, cherries, mango, strawberry, banana, etc

Protein

• Protein powder, collagen powder, tofu (exclude for cleanse), yogurt (exclude for cleanse)
