How I start my year...
Why Resolutions Fail — and How to Do It Differently
I get asked a lot about my rituals, New Year’s “resolutions,” and the habits I want to bring in or leave behind. Most people set out to achieve outcomes — finish an event, lose weight, eat a certain way, or experience more things. And while goals can be inspiring, research shows that only about 8% of people actually stick to their New Year’s resolutions by the end of the year. Why? Because so many goals are outcome-focused — and life throws obstacles that are often out of our control.
When I work with my clients, I focus on helping them design the life they envision, clarify the type of person they want to be, and then create the habits and behaviors that align with that vision. That’s what makes change sustainable — when it’s rooted in identity and daily action rather than simply chasing outcomes.
That’s also how I approach my own intentions. I think about who I want to be in all of life’s circumstances, how I want to show up, what I want to create, and who I want to spend time with. When we focus on behaviors and habits that align with the type of person we want to be, change becomes sustainable — and fulfilling.
Some of my 2026 reflections and practices:
What I’ve made sure to do:
Sit down with my favorite journal and prompts to consider what I want to put out into the universe, the direction I want my work to take, how I want to spend my time, and which relationships I want to nurture.
Touch base with my clients to make sure they are doing the same.
Sit with Chris and share highlights so that we can support each other throughout the year.
What I am bringing in:
Consistent mobility practice
Dry brushing (more on this coming)
Presence (always something I am practicing)
Deeper heart connection (always something I am practicing)
Standing in my integrity across all areas of my life
Feminine energy through creativity and playfulness
More fish and fiber
detox cleanse - join us here!
What I am leaving behind:
Judgment - of self and others
Toxic gel manicures (traded for Cote Nail Polish to do myself!)
Nail picking - yes, has been a habit my entire life, it's time to go
Social media for personal use
Self-blame / criticism

Ways to Work With Me This Year
If you’re feeling called to do things differently — to bring more intention, health, and alignment into your life — here are a few ways we can work together:
1:1 Coaching
Personalized support to bring clarity, direction, accountability, and deep care to your life and health. Your health is your foundation — without it, nothing else truly works. If this is the year you’re ready to take it seriously and be supported along the way, I currently have two open spots on my coaching roster.
Retreat Experience
There is one spot remaining for our upcoming retreat. This is an invitation to fully immerse yourself in the community, restore balance, reconnect with your inner voice, and remember what it feels like to be deeply nourished — body, mind, and soul. If you’re ready to step away from the noise and come home to yourself, this may be your moment.
